In a little over a year, 13-year-old country artist Aveya Huculak has gone from barely singing on stage to building a résumé that already stretches from Alberta to Nashville.

Based in St. Albert, Alberta, Aveya has quickly earned attention for her powerful voice, natural stage presence and ability to connect with an audience well beyond what you might expect from someone her age.

Her first year as a country artist has taken her from local stages to festivals and major country music events, including Big Valley Jamboree and the Strathmore Stampede, as well as Nashville, where she has performed at iconic venues including The Bluebird Cafe, Tootsies Orchid Lounge and The Stage on Broadway.

In 2026, Aveya earned four NACMAI awards, including Vocalist of the Year, Entertainer of the Year, Songwriter of the Year and Music Video of the Year. She was also named St. Albert Entertainer of the Year and received a Country Music Alberta nomination earlier in the year.

Her debut original single, Put On A Show, marked another major step in her young career and went on to reach the Top 13 on the Canadian Indie Country Countdown.

Now Aveya is continuing to write, record and perform while developing a sound of her own and building her place in Canadian country music.

She may only be 13, and she may only be a little over a year into the journey, but Aveya is proving that you don't need a long résumé to make people pay attention.
